SANCTIONS FOR FAILING TO IDENTIFY CONTROLLING BENEFICIARIES

As of January 1st, 2022, all companies and trusts with residence in Mexico must identify and collect information from their Controlling Beneficiaries through the preparation of a File including a comprehensive description of the internal procedures and mechanisms followed for their identification which is deemed part of the accounting records and therefore, must be available to the Tax Administration Service (SAT) upon request. Failure to comply will result in the following sanctions:
