Our firm embarked on a near-shoring project from China to Mexico 2 years ago. We needed to find a suitable location in Mexico to establish, equip and operate a highly complex Electronic Manufacturing Services (‘EMS’) facility to meet demand from our major consumer brand corporate clients in North America.
In the course of our due diligence in several Mexican States, we were introduced to various legal firms who offered their services to assist us with a range of requirements including incorporation of our Mexican subsidiary, registrations with various public agencies, guidance regarding Shareholder and Board of Directors structures, Labor-Employment counseling, Collective Bargaining Agreements and negotiations with Labor Unions…just to mention a few of the many complex and necessary requirements to ensure our company ‘checked all the boxes’ thoroughly and professionally.
After interviewing a number of law firms, the one that stood out from others was Díazigareda. While its range of services was comparably comprehensive, what differentiated the firm from others we met with was the caliber of its team.
In instances where we needed informal assistance and support, Díazigareda’s team was generous to provide it without running the time clock. It reflected the way the firm’s partners viewed and treated us, not just as another client, but something more. They genuinely cared for us, always taking the extra step to ensure our near-shoring venture would comply with Mexico’s regulatory requirements.
Two years on, our Mexican company is flourishing. Much of its success is due to the excellent professional legal guidance and formal structuring provided by Díazigareda.
